PREPARATION | Sauce:
Mix all ingredienets and bring to a boil on a medium heat fire. Remove
from heat and stir.
Cake: Mix sugar and shortening; add egg and flour gradually. Add baking powder and milk; mix until all lumps are dissolved. Pour into a greased 8x8-inch baking pan. Pour the sauce over the cake, it will seep through the cake mixture. Bake 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven or until cake springs clean of toothpick. |
